We are a team of 10 from VA, PA and TX that has decided to take up the call given in Psalm 82:3 ‘Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.’
We are traveling to Ethiopia in June 2011.
We will be visiting the village of Korah, also known as the leper colony of Addis Ababa Ethiopia. We hope to stay several days and minister along side a church we are partnering with and share the love of Christ with them, while learning about the true meaning of discipleship.
We will also be visiting the village of Gutumuma and working with missionaries there while learning the needs of the people that they are ministering to. We were blessed in April of 2010 to help facilitate the baptism of 24 new believers in the village.
We will also be visiting Adama Ethiopia and seeing the new Orphans and Widows Home that has recently been built. We hope to paint some rooms, we have a team member that is gifted in painting murals. We will also be delivering formula for the babies, and helping to stock the shelves of the nurses station with basic necessities such as bandaids, gauze, thermometers and other items.
We hope to visit the towns of Nekemte and Gimbie as well where there are orphanages that are being established and need some attention.
Most of all we hope to share some love, make relationships and strengthen the bonds built on our last trip.
If you would like to contribute to our cause please see this post for instructions.
